The North Aegean Regional Development Fund participated in the 5th Regular Meeting of the Monitoring Committee of the “North Aegean 2021–2027” Programme, which was held in Chios on Friday, 12 June 2026.
The meeting reviewed the implementation progress of the Programme, the advancement of the approved actions, and the new priorities emerging within the development planning framework of the North Aegean Region for the 2021–2027 programming period.
Particular emphasis was placed on the planning of new calls for proposals, the methodology and selection criteria for operations, as well as issues related to the evaluation of interventions, Integrated Territorial Investments, and the Smart Specialisation Strategy.
In parallel, matters were presented concerning strategic projects, communication and visibility of the Programme, absorption of funds and achievement of the annual targets, as well as horizontal issues relating to implementation and the strengthening of administrative capacity.
The participation of the North Aegean Regional Development Fund confirms its consistent commitment to supporting the development strategy of the Region and ensuring the effective utilisation of European and national resources for the benefit of the island communities of the North Aegean.
