The general objective of the PHAROS4MPAs project is to enhance management effectiveness and networking for Mediterranean MPAs, in order to contribute to the conservation of marine biodiversity and natural ecosystems.

Project Summary

The main objective of the project is the effective management and networking of the Mediterranean Marine Protected Areas, with the aim of contributing to the preservation of marine biodiversity and ecosystems, taking into account all human activities developed in the context of Blue Development and their interaction with protected areas and marine ecosystems. To achieve the above objective, the PHAROS4MPAs project supports the implementation of European marine policies, which promote the sustainable management of human activities, as well as the protection of Mediterranean ecosystems.
